In November 2022 we walked through the automatic doors at Tan Son Nhat International (Ho Chi Minh City’s main aiport). The heat, the noise, the smell hit us like a ton of bricks. A complete sensory overload. Did we mention the noise? We thought we’d prepared ourselves pretty well, heck we’d felt confident when we board the plane 14 hours earlier... But we immeditately realised there was so much we’d not accounted for. Our first trip was just under a month long, and the entire time we felt like we were chasing our tails.

Every minute of that trip was incredible, but it was also so exhausting. By the end of the month we’d had the time of our lives, but in all honesty, we couldn’t wait to get home.

18 months later, we walked through the doors at No Bai International Airport just outside Hanoi, and our second trip begun. This time we were properly prepared for the adventure that lay ahead... and you know what? We had the time of our lives.
